This is a Victorian style design doorbell operator with the word "TURN" at the top. The backplate is 2 1/2" in diameter. It comes in a choice of polished brass, or antique finishes. Use the drop down menu to select the finish. This part number is for our 10" steel shaft operator.

If you're going through a standard thickness door, you may be able to use our standard shaft length bell operator which is 2 1/4" long .

This twist operator is mounted on the outside of a door, and when the handle is twisted, it will operate the mechanical doorbell on the inside of the door. This operator will work with antique doorbell mechanisms, or with our matching reproduction doorbell which is sold separately.

The matching mechanical doorbell is sold separately, since many customers already have an original doorbell for the other side. Our matching reproduction bell is ZLW-183BL .

Our standard shaft length is 2 1/4" long . You can now mount the twist operator on the wall beside your door by ordering our longer shaftlengths: 6" , 10", or 12". Use the shaft long enough to go through your exterior siding, wall framing, and into the interior to ring the bell. Ideal for all-glass doors or doors with wood too narrow to hold the bell. Steel shaft may be trimmed at your home to the exact length that works for you.
