ZLW-295S Eastlake Reproduction Victorian Surface Bolt Lost Wax Cast
Outstanding Americana Surface bolt Circa 1870, cast in bronze with an antique finish.. These bolts were normally used for double doors where the normally “inactive” door was to be secured. Cast by the “lost wax” method, the detail is simply outstanding. The bronze rods have lathe cut threads instead of cheaper “rolled” threads.
The face plate measures: 1 1/2” wide by 5 3/8” long. The knob has a diameter of 1 1/4” and projects from the face plate about an inch. The bolt is just under 3/4” square with a length of 1 1/2”. Rods are 3/8” diameter. Guide plate and received are identical and measure just under an inch deep by 2 1/4” wide.
Because there were so many lengths of “throw” for these bolts, we have tried to give some options. ZLW-295S comes with a 5” rod which allows a short adjustment range 1 1/2” by trimming the rod and re-dressing the threads.
When a longer length rod is required, our ZLW-295L offers up to 32" of rod.
