ZE-522 Antique Reproduction Russell & Erwin Door Plate with Dual Keyholes
This is a larger backplate by R&E, patented Jan 25, 1870, and shown in the 1870 catalog with our ZE-26 doggie knob. Due to the acanthus and stylized leaf designs, it would be awesome with Art Nouveau style homes, as well as high Victorian.
There are two keyholes, one uncovered and one covered with a very detailed flower motif. Use our Victorian mortise lock, ZB-299WN (2 5/8" backset) or ZB-400WN (2 1/4" backset), which have a decorative faceplate and strikeplate.
Don't forget to select an R&E reproduction doorknob, either the doggie knob mentioned above, or we suggest floral knob ZE-983, or sunflower knob ZE-973, for a welcoming entry. We offer 11 doorknob choices in the R&E Series.
Measures 8 1/2" long by 2 5/8" wide. Distance from the center of knob to center of the 1st keyhole round bit is 2 1/4", and the distance to the 2nd keyhole is 4".
