Eastlake's designs were popular in the second half of the19th century. He supported the Arts & Crafts movement, and used craftsmen to execute his intricate designs, rather than manufacturing himself.

The geometric ornaments,spindles, low relief carvings and incised lines were designed to be affordable and easy to clean. They were a forerunner to the new century, not as fussy as most Victorian styles.

Finely detailed unlacquered brass reproduction will age gracefully, or choose from one of our hand-finished antique patinas.
