This is an exceptionally fine solid brass Eastlake Victorian style window latch with wonderful detail.  Eastlake was popular due to his shallow incised lines, which made cleaning easier.

The latch mechanism resists thieves by drawing both sash halves together when locked.  Full range of finish choices, which can be ordered by using the drop-down "Options" menu above.
