902-1ARM Polished Unlacquered Brass Neo Rococo Victorian Recreated Gaslight Sconce
902-1ARM-DK Antique Brass Finish Neo Rococo Victorian Reproduction Gaslight Wall Sconce
Early American Rococo gas lighting fixtures are very rare nowadays. There are only 5 catalogs that are known to have existed between 1840 and 1870. We have been fortunate enough to find no less than 8 original light fixtures of various sizes and configurations that were originally manufactured by Starr, Fellows. We recast from these original fixtures for a completely accurate reproduction.
These were high end fixtures even 100 years ago. This single sconce is made out of heavy solid brass, compared to Starr & Fellows' later, thinner lights. Our recasting is from the heavier fixture.
Shown in polished brass, we also offer custom hand-finishing to an antique brass. Use the Options menu above to select your favorite.

We delight in the Rococo lighting era. Pictured here also are only a few favorites to complement this sconce. Start with a small gaslight antique chandelier, with a cupid standing in the center. For more ornamentation, try a 6-light chandelier by Starr-Fellows. A stair or hallway light with up to 500 wattage is the matching rococo newel post light.
