586-SGE-OB Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish Mission Style Gas & Electric Transitional 2 Arm Long Pendant Chandelier
Combination gas and electric fixtures were made at the turn of the century, and for as long as 20+ years thereafter. Electrical supplies were not always reliable in every location of America at this time. There were two main types of "up" gas fixture. One was a simple candle tube, and the other was a wide flame burner surrounded by a glass shade, as appears here.
Fixture uses 4" fitter shades on the "up" lights, and 2 ¼" fitter shades on the "down" lights. Glass shades are sold separately. We picture 082G and 083G as a suggestion, but have many from which to choose.
Measurements:
-
Height: Supplied 44" tall, but can be shortened to as much as 29" by trimming the tube.
-
Spread: 25"
-
Canopy Size: 4 ½" x 4 ½"; 3" deep.
Extension kits for longer drops and vaulted ceiling kits are available.
