0238G Markel Amber "Scoop" Slip Shade
Sometimes called “the scoop” shade, the original shade was made by Markel Lighting Product circa 1935.
There were not many “family” members of this group using this shade. The only significant chandelier left out of the family pictures is the three light chandelier. All chandeliers came with the stem shown, or a plain tube for close ceiling applications. There is one other light family that has similar design panels to the bowl. The difference is that this other chandelier uses a different stem center and the pocket for the slip shade has a notch at the bottom of the receiver pocket. It takes a totally different slip shade. If in doubt, send us an email picture of your fixture and we will respond. This shade is currently available only in amber. It was the more desirable color, although it was offered in frosted during the '30s.
In order to match historical apperance some colored shades are made using a water based dye or paint. Clean with a soft dry cloth. Do not wet.
