ANT-1347   1920’s-40’s Style “Old Gold” Finished Theater Chandelier

We are fortunate to have purchased this very unusual light from a theater. We were led to understand that the theater had under gone restoration not too long ago...and that this fixture was part of that rehab…at that time. It is a mixture of metals painted in Old Gold colors. The canopy has mica inserts as shown in a close up picture.

We think that it is not “that” old but we do know that the shade in the center is about 1930-40. So...it does seem to be a mystery just how old it really is, but the style is so iconic...and unusual...that it might just be perfect for someone doing a neat project.

Size: It has a max diameter of 33” outside bulb to outside bulb when using the pictured G25 shaped ball bulb. 53” hang height but...naturally...the hang height can be changed to either shorter or longer depending on the need.

Electrical: There are a total of 16 E-26 medium base bulb sockets. On the outside of the chandelier, there are 12 bulbs on the rim...plus...inside... there are 4 bulbs lighting the neat “step” crackle glass shade on the bottom. No shortage of lumens here. Scale the lumen output up with larger wattage bulbs...or keep it lower by the bulb choice.

A final decorative element is the acrylic spear points surrounding the shade. Don’t know if those were added for dramatic effect (which they are) or original. But...if not wanted...they could be replaced with a more simple element. Staff here are quite split in opinion and hence the mention.

A HEAVY DUTY mounting kit will be provided. This kit mounts onto a UL universal-style crossbar...heavy duty...that we will supply.
