ANT-199 c1930 Outstanding Pair of Art Deco Sconces
Outstanding pair of Art Deco sconces, Circa 1930 with screaming deco design along with totally matching frosted glass shades.
The backplates are cast iron with a pewter finish.
Here we have an original antiques and a complete, unique, pair of iconic sconces.
The Art Deco motif on the backplates are really quite pronounced and so typical of the era and design.
The frosted glass shades are original and have the deco panels with staggered blocks and points. The shades just repeat the deco motif on the backplate so well.
Completely re-wired, in our UL shop, with new sockets and a nice “original style” rotary switch for each sconce.
For bulbs...we would suggest one of our LED bulbs, either stock number
45G-E26 or
35C-E26. These give just the right amount of accent for an ambiance wall sconce.
If you wish significantly more light than “ambiance”, regular bulbs will also be fine for this fixture or our more powerful full sized LED bulbs.
