Edgar Brandt (1880 to 1960) was a genius metalsmith of the Art Deco age. In fact, he was the main metalsmith for the Art Decoratifs Expo in Paris 1925, which is popularly believed to have given Art Deco its name.
Following the Art Deco movement, we have designed this fantastic solid bronze/brass chandelier that is simply outstanding for Art Deco aficionados who appreciate the early hand-worked metalsmiths. It gives an indirect decorative ambiance lighting that is simply lovely. The metal panels are Lost wax cast, and they reflect the Art Deco metalsmiths of the age.
This chandelier has options for 2 mica types. A good variation, which will yield different lighting results.
You can find our sconces that match this fixture HERE.
Bulbs: Normal E-26 medium base sockets are standard...using either incandescent or LED bulbs.
...OR..for energy required lighting options...
We could build this chandelier with other socket options such as GU-10 (especially to comply with Title 24 in California.) Being makers, not simply re-sellers, we can comply with many options. See picture below for difference between E-26 and GU-10 sockets.
Options for Glass Types:
-
Amber Mica (as shown)...warm and mellow lighting for ambiance.
-
White Mica...which would provide a more bright light.
Measurements:
Height: Can be varied two ways. First, the body height can be changed, and second, the fluted supply tube can be shortened as well. When made, the body height is 53" and the tube length is 36", making an overall height of 89". This can be changed radically. We can shorten the pipe to a mere 6", and shorten the body to as little as 36", creating an overall height as little as 42" (or anywhere in between 89" and 42") for a good appearance. Naturally, we can also lengthen the chandelier to nearly any length for a long drop by adding sections of fluted tube.
Diameter: 43" is the maximum diameter.
Canopy: The unusual canopy measures 9 ½" diameter by 4 ¾" tall.
