118-SOL-14L Art Deco Chandelier, Soleure Series Large 14 Light Chandelier
A total labor of affection. A Kenk original design, and fine lost wax castings, this chandelier gives us all a serious case of PRIDE.
This fine light is just so beautiful. Not only is this chandelier gorgeous...it can be supplied with TWO different lighting type options:
1.) As incandescent i.e. E-26 normal sockets both in the shades, and in the bowl lighting area. Each slip shade has its own socket, the bowl has four sockets, the stem platform also has four chandelier based sockets for a nice lit stem appearance. Any normal medium base incandescent or CFL or LED screw-in bulbs can be used.
or
2.) As LED i.e. as a complete Title 24, energy saving chandelier WITHOUT screw-in bulbs to be totally compliant with new CA code (and others) Title 24 requirements. In this case, each socket for EACH slip shade has a GU-10 base. For the bottom shade, there are 4 GU-10 sockets to light the bottom shade...and the stem tier also has 4 GU-10 sockets. The bulbs are of a dimmable type as well. We recommend using Lutron CL LED dimmers which are sold separately.
LED bulbs are sold separately. We do sell dimmable LED light bulbs that are available with either a GU10 base, or a regular household E26 base. Choice of 2700°K (warm white, closest to incandescent) or 5000°K (bright white) options. Each bulb emits light that is equivalent to a 100 watt incandescent bulb, but draws only 9 watts of electricity.
You tell us how you wish this chandelier to be lit...we will supply it.

This chandelier responds to our wonderful customers who have requested a larger Soleure chandelier to match our other lighting fixtures in the Soleure series (i.e. 120-SOL-ES; 121-SOL-EP; 122-SOL-CC; 123-SOL-5L; and 124-SOL-6L)).
HISTORY: Our original Soleure fixtures were originally made by MidWest Manufacturing of Kansas City, Kansas in 1935. This company had a remarkable attitude towards the Great Depression. Their attitude was to make only the best, since there are always discriminating patrons, even in the worst of times. So...for our Soleure Series, we adopted a likewise philosophy. Make it from the best material (silicon bronze), by the best method (lost wax casting, just like jewelry is made), with the best glass shade cast from an original, and finish it in a fine bronze finish with highlights of the original metal...since there still are discriminating tastes out there in these times, too.
Kenk designs come from being the curators of the only American Art Deco Lighting Museum.
